Wellbeing Services

Being Found provides comprehensive wellbeing services to the tertiary education sector. We work with institutions to identify the wellbeing needs of staff and students and develop and deliver services tailored to these needs.

Services offered

  • Student counselling - Our experienced wellbeing practitioners support students presenting with a range of immediate needs ranging from a reassuring and confidential chat, facilitating effective therapeutic models, liaising with academic support services, providing referrals to external services, case management and managing critical incidents where necessary.

  • Staff employee assistance programs - Our wellbeing practitioners can support staff with issues affecting their work and wellbeing through coaching or counselling sessions.

  • Staff secondary consult - We provide staff with guidance and support around wellbeing issues presenting in students, staff or the organisation as a whole, including working through concerning presentations, classroom dynamics and referral pathways.

  • Staff professional development - We design and deliver training for your staff to cultivate skills in addressing wellbeing issues, conducting difficult conversations, working with conflict, and navigating classroom dynamics.

  • Wellbeing strategies and policies - From assessment and ideas to priorities, leverage points and integration, we work with you to identify and implement sustainable wellbeing strategy for your organisation.

Sarah Pant

A psychotherapist, change specialist, organisational development consultant, executive coach and group facilitator, Sarah brings over thirteen years experience and a conscious creativity to every endeavour. Her key areas of expertise lie in professional development of emerging leaders, conflict facilitation, and the creative dynamics and process of change. Through her work with individuals and groups, Sarah builds people’s capacity to conduct healthy and skillful conversations and engage positively with complex issues and challenges.

Anne Ligthart

Anne Ligthart is a clinical psychotherapist with specialist training in trauma and therapeutic art. In her work with students and staff Anne draws on creative methods and skills as well as neuroscience to enable rapid treatment for such presentations as anxiety, depression and PTSD. Prior to working with Being Found she worked as a psychiatric nurse in acute care and as a school support to lower primary students. Anne is also a Professional Diver and works in marine conservation research as well as providing education to schools around marine conservation.

 

Garret Teters

Garrett Teters is a social worker with over two decades of experience working in adolescent health & welfare. In his work with students Garrett draws on this depth of knowledge of youth issues. Prior to working with Being Found, Garret founded one of Australia’s first social enterprises, YouthWorx, a for profit retail store and training facility for young people. More recently he has had great success connecting with young people from CALD supporting them in a range of settlement issues including employment, education migration and personal development.
